What is MyBib?
MyBib is a website that will find full citations for you and CORRECTLY organize them in the format of your choosing.
Why is MyBib worth using?
The number of times we've seen students submit papers with incorrectly formatted reference sections is ridiculous.
MyBid is by far the easiest and most reliable citation generator out there. PLUS it's completely free to use.
This formatting site has saved Simon and all the rest of us here on the UofTearless Team HUNDREDS of hours in school. It is incredible to not have to worry about getting marks off for citation errors (or worse, a plagiarism strike).
One of the best features of this website is that you can feed it the source in almost any format (PDF link, website link, journal link, article link, article title, literally anything you can think of)!
It also marks the credibility of the source so you can write strong essays and has an option to manually edit the reference if there was information it couldn't find and you could.
That being said, you will almost never have to. MyBib actually searches for your source on the internet, gathers the information, and puts it into place for you. This is far superior to other citation generators because they can't source outside information from around the internet; they just format what you give them.
Additionally, even if the title or link isn't exactly the link for your source, it will find you the most similar sources, and that feature has yet to let us down in terms of guessing the correct source!
MyBib will alphabetically organize and format your sources in any format (including CSE, MLA, APA, Chicago, etc...).
Once it has formatted everything for you, you can choose how to export or copy the reference list to your paper. It will even provide the in-text citations if you need them.
We NEVER say this, but this website is so reliable that you can almost blindly trust it. Obviously, you should still read over your reference list, but the chances you'll find a mistake are finite.
